Avsurance Corporation is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Account Manager to follow sales leads. Insurance producers are responsible for selling insurance products to potential customers. Producers must be active in seeking out new clients and explaining types of coverage they may find helpful. They must keep abreast of the rates and policies that various insurers offer.

Duties:
- Conducting, Sales, service and solicitation of Aviation Insurance and related supporting lines of coverage.
- Developing accounts and cross selling related aviation insurance products and services.
- Have ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Call on policyholders to deliver and explain policy, analyze insurance program and suggest changes.
- Expand book of business by cross selling and upselling to current customers.
- Follow up on existing leads to sell insurance products to potential customers.
- Develop base for long-term sources of clients by using referrals, occupational, and special-interest groups to compile lists of prospects.
- Approaches potential clients by utilizing mailings and phone solicitation; making presentations to groups at company-sponsored gatherings; attending conferences.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required. Aviation Business or Insurance major preferred.
- 5+ years previous sales experience preferred and Aviation industry experience a plus
- Required to obtain appropriate licensing within 90 days of hire and continuing education as needed.
- Candidates with current existing insurance licensing preferred.
- Excellent customer service and ability to determine customer needs.
- Ability to work under pressure and within deadlines.
- Ability to interpret and explain data and insurance policies.
- Possesses and is able to demonstrate a high level of motivation.
- Demonstrates commitment to personal and professional growth.
- Business travel required at the conclusion of training (average of 10 business days a month)
- This position is based out of our Ann Arbor Office
