Accounting Manager - Avflight

• Manage the accounting team, overseeing the daily workflow of the Accounting department.
• Provide constructive and timely performance evaluations.

• Fully support Controller.
• Preparation of Financial Statements and provide meaningful analysis for sales and operations management.
• Oversee and manage Treasury Management including Banking and Credit Card systems.
• Partner with affiliate Avsurance to supply needed information; support and review new and renewing policies and manage accounting.
• Pursue available Property Tax refunds and Abatements.
• Support Avfuel Tax, and coordinate to ensure accounting policy aligns with tax goals.
• Audit accounts to ensure compliance with internal standards; Support the coordination with outside auditors, providing needed information for annual external audits and local Payroll or Tax, City or State audits.
• Manage external International audits and Canadian corporate tax preparation.

• Bachelor degree in accounting with at least 5 years' experience managing degreed accountants.
• Strong supervisory and leadership skills with a thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures.
• Proactive Take-charge personality, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational, time management and problem solving skills with strong attention to detail with a Business First focus.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access.
