Reporting to the Executive Director
(Teen/Young Adult Health Center)
The Corner Health Center's mission is to inspire 12- to 25-year-olds (and their children) to achieve and sustain healthy lives by providing judgment-free, affordable health and wellness care and education. Comprised of 25 clinical and administrative professional staff members, the team is located in historic downtown Ypsilanti.
This ley leadership role will serve as a member or the senior leadership team, ensuring the implementation of the Corner's mission and strategy. Specific expectations include operationalizing the values and standards of the Center, creation of focus and accountability, and leading/developing team members consistent with service standards and financial goals/objectives.
Key areas of responsibilities:
- Translating the Corner's mission into daily operational practice and systemic norms, including implementation of the Strategic Plan
- Serve as a member of the Center's Senior Leadership Team, meeting regularly to cultivate team health and to collaboratively solve issues; also:
- Facilitates Manager group meetings
- Attends Operations meetings
- Attends Quality Improvement meetings
- Supervision of integrated Primary Care, Outreach, Mental Health, Clinic Managers, Human Resources Coordinator, and Behavioral Health Programs
- Program development, implementation and evaluation
- Grant writing and reporting
- Building community partnerships with health and youth serving organizations
- Determine and rigorously monitor key data and analytics to drive all areas of operations, including partnering with leadership team to analyze and increase patient capacity and revenue
- Ensure efficient business operations, including adherence to core values, quality and customer service standards
- Financial oversight: develops operating budgets, ensures spending is in line with budget, review of monthly financial reporting and variance analysis
- Serves as the second signer for financial documents
- Oversee the hiring and acclimatization of all staff
- Ensure human resource policies and practices are administered consistently
- Negotiate and manage all vendor relationships
Qualifications include:
- A strategic and collaborative thinker
- Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience
- Experience in a nonprofit leadership role preferred
- Possess critical thinking skills with strong cross-functional experience
- Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is unwavering in living and leading our mission
- Possesses personal values: dependable, excellent communicator, produce exceptional work product, hardworking, and bringing a positive attitude to work every day
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of successfully collaborating with a visionary Executive Director
