Aviation Fuel District Manager - Sales Producer

Our client, Avfuel, provides the global aviation industry with an array of services from fuel, equipment and training, to marketing and sales consultation. With a 23% market share, Avfuel is the leading aviation fuel supply company in a competitive international market. Their customers are far reaching: fixed-base operators, airports, corporate flight departments, helicopter operators, commercial airlines, cargo haulers and military entities. We value service to them and our fellow colleagues above all else.

Avfuel has cultivated growth through internal development, company acquisitions and key alliances. It is because of this growth that they seek a dedicated sales territory manager to join their team. As a district manager/sales producer, you will be responsible for interfacing and maintaining existing accounts, and generating new business in Avfuel's six categories of business: FBOs, corporate flight departments, airlines, freight/cargo operators, the military and helicopters. Avfuel is seeking an individual with strong analytical skills and a sales background. A sales background is required with aviation experience preferred.

There is a territory opening in Canada and the person in this role can be based in most any location in Canada.

Responsibilities:

  • Selling new accounts and managing existing accounts
  • Identify and develop new fuel business opportunities
  • Opening additional channels of trade
  • Obtaining order commitments
  • Developing sales targets and forecasts
  • Meeting and exceeding monthly and annual sales goals
  • Coordinate activities, opportunities and cross-sell with other sales departments
  • Develop knowledge of individual airport markets and influencers
  • Develop working knowledge of competitor products and services, customer segments and trends affecting the industry
  • Territory travel is required
  • Expect to travel three days per week every other week
  • Must be able to drive without restrictions
  • Must be able to fly without restrictions

Qualifications:

  • Experience in prospecting, sales and closing new business
  • Ability to perform calls to generate leads
  • Perform analysis to qualify opportunities
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Outgoing personality and strong interpersonal skills
  • 3-5 years sales or business experience
  • Must have computer skills - typing and data entry ability 

Education & Other Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Aviation experience a plus, but not required
