Sample Clinical Operations Director Job Description

Clinical Operations Director

Clinic Operations Director, Hygieia

Mission

Hygieia's mission has been to rethink and reform how insulin is used. Insulin is safe and effective when properly used, as it's the best way to compensate for the body's insulin deficiency. This is why Hygieia developed breakthrough technology that determines the dose needed - each time insulin is injected. Hygieia's d-Nav Technology2 is easy to use and FDA cleared to autonomously recommend insulin doses. This has been life changing for patients, as they don't need to see their doctor just for dose adjustments.

The Clinic

The d-Nav clinic is primarily virtual with limited patient in-person visits. Partner physicians utilize the virtual clinic for one-on-one support for use of d-Nav and insulin management. Any other aspects of patient care are managed by the physician and their practice. This enables partner physicians to embed the virtual clinic into their practice to improve patient outcomes.

The clinic operates Monday-Friday in Livonia, Michigan. d-Nav clinical team members manage a patient panel, building connections and providing follow-up care through phone calls, text, emails, video conferencing, or face-to-face meetings. Team members work in-office or travel to partner physician locations for set-up, education and patient follow up and support purposes.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Clinic Operations Director is responsible for leading the strategic oversight and day-to-day management of the clinical services provided by the clinical support care team to d-Nav members and their associated health care personnel. The Clinic Operations Director will develop tools and systems for ensuring protocols are met while providing an excellent patient experience.
