Corporate Tax Administrator

Our Ann Arbor based client seeks a Corporate Tax Administrator to join their growing team.  The select candidate will be responsible for corporate tax return preparation, data analytics and process documentation surrounding direct tax compliance and indirect tax audits as applicable on a global basis.

 Responsibilities include: 

• Preparing and submitting work papers, allocations, and corporate income tax returns (federal, state, and/or international).
• Research and understand potential impact of tax legislation changes
• Responsible for gathering data requirements
• Participate in streamlining and improving income tax reporting processes through automation
• Support direct and indirect tax audit data compilation to support audit responses and requests for information
• Assist with cross-functional tax department projects and work closely with accounting contacts

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent four (4) years of experience in corporate accounting or a tax department
• 2 years' experience with federal income tax compliance or related tax reporting
• Proficiency with one or more accounting systems, including the ability to assimilate new software applications easily
• Advanced-level Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Strong written and verbal communication skills necessary in order to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Ability to collaborate with team members
• Ability to effectively manage and execute multiple tasks, projects and priorities
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to provide exceptional customer service
• Ability to identify issues, compare data, investigate and resolve discrepancies
• Proven analytical problem solver
• Must be a self-starter with a strong work ethic
