Development Coordinator

Our client, the historic Michigan Theater, located in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, is a non-profit organization that engages and enriches the community with a broad range of cinema and performing arts events 365 days a year. The Michigan Theater Foundation's mission is joyfully serving community, history, public storytelling & the arts.

The Michigan Theater is owned and operated by the Michigan Theater Foundation, which also owns and operates the State Theater, the Cinetopia Film Festival, and the Art House Convergence.

 

DUTIES:

Under the guidance of the Chief Development Officer, the Development Coordinator will be responsible for organizing and executing fundraising efforts in support of sustaining and growing the financial capacity of The Michigan Theater Foundation. These efforts include special events, community outreach, grant support and compliance, prospect and donor cultivation, stewardship and recognition, volunteer recruitment and management, and data management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least two years of development, sales and/or customer service experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in planning, managing and executing events of various sizes with successful outcomes

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with InDesign/Photoshop, Donor Perfect, Zoho, and HubSpot
  • A passion for community, history, public storytelling, cinema, and the arts
