Digital Marketing Coordinator

The historic Michigan Theater, located in the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, is a non-profit organization that engages and enriches the community with a broad range of cinema and performing arts events 365 days a year.

The Michigan Theater Foundation owns and operates The Michigan Theater, The State Theatre, Cinetopia Film Festival and the Art House Convergence. We are a movie palace, performing arts center, art house exhibitor, film curator, and leader in the art house movement.

                        DIGITAL MARKETING COORDINATOR

The Michigan Theater Foundation (MTF) is seeking a full-time Digital Marketing Coordinator to work in the fast-paced entertainment industry as a nonprofit. This position will report to the Programs and Marketing Director. Candidates are detail-oriented, enthusiastic about digital marketing, have an appetite to learn and aren't afraid to roll up their sleeves and sling some popcorn when needed. This position is perfect for someone who likes to do a little bit of everything, which includes social media marketing, email marketing and search engine marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of marketing programs to drive online revenue
  • Utilize Web Content Management tools for managing website content and search engine optimization tools to increase organic search traffic (Wordpress, Divi theme, Yoast SEO)
  • Develop email marketing campaigns (My Emma)
  • Manage and execute social media calendar, including running paid social campaigns on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Manage Google Grant pay-per-click advertising campaigns & contractors
  • Measure success of various marketing campaigns
  • Leverage customer insight data to refine campaigns and digital content
  • Manage tasks, expectations, communications, and timelines for assigned projects
  • Provide routine status updates to supervisor
  • Other tasks as needed

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Computer Science, or related field or 2 years of equivalent work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as exceptional organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple and changing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to develop positive working relationships in a cross functional team environment
  • Knowledge of Excel and strong analytical ability
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products, Google suite applications

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience with search engine optimization and/or managing pay-per-click campaigns
  • Familiarity with email marketing, search engine marketing, social media, pay-per-click campaign management, Google Adwords, or email marketing systems
  • Experience with HTML, CSS
  • Working knowledge of website design, technologies, and usability
