The Opportunity: Human Resources Leader

Our client, TDIC, has an immediate opening for a proven Human Resources Leader . This is a key role serving as a member of the Executive Team. The role has responsibility for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall company vision and values. Leading a team of 2 part-time HR staff, the HR Leader will develop key performance indicators (KPI) for the HR function, and cultivating strong working relationships with all leaders and team members.


The HR Leader will provide strategic leadership and oversight in the areas of workforce development, employee relations, benefits, compensation, organizational and performance management, training and development, talent attraction (recruitment), and retention. The HR Leader provides strategic leadership by translating organizational goals, values and vision in to operational programs and strategies. In addition, the HR Leader nurtures and crafts human resource culture, creating people processes that support all team members, inspiring trust and transparency.

Key Performance Measures/Deliverables:


Talent Management:

  • Create, promote and implement systems and strategies to maximize retention of valued team members.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and implementation of employee performance appraisal program by coaching managers on employee assessment and development methods and ensuring reviews are completed timely.
  • HR Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across all locations, and develop and implement HR policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and promote fair and consistent employment practices

Employee Relations:

  • Coaches, counsels and supports managers and employees in the resolution of employee relations issues.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees on HR-related issues, providing guidance and support to resolve conflicts, address performance concerns, and foster a respectful and inclusive work environment
  • Cultivate and maintain strong collegial working relationships with all team members.

Talent Attraction:

  • Create strategic recruitment strategies to ensure the availability of talent for employment vacancies and projected growth.
  • Develop branding and networking activities to position TDIC as an "employer of choice."
  • Define proactive and reactive talent attraction programs and tactics.

Reward Strategies:

  • Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation and benefits programs, including salary benchmarking, incentive plans, and employee benefits administration, to attract and retain top talent and ensure competitive compensation practices.
  • Analytical ability to evaluate non-salary based incentives, including health benefit components, retirement savings plans, and various perquisites.

Alignment of People Practices with Organizational Vision:

  • Ensure consistency of operational practices with TDIC vision, values and strategic themes.
  • Partner closely with Executive Team members to ensure complete alignment of HR activities with organizational objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as Operations, Production, Finance, and Sales to support business initiatives, drive organizational change, and ensure alignment between HR and overall business strategies

The Qualified Candidate

TDIC seeks a strategically focused partner who has proven experience leading an HR strategy focused on internal customer satisfaction, and providing trusted, valued counsel and support to leaders and team members. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5-10 years of proven leadership level experience. Prior experience within a manufacturing/production setting is desirable. The selected candidate will be service-oriented, collaborative, and a strategic thinker with a strong drive to find solutions and create success for the team.

Specific requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, human resources, organizational psychology or closely related field; OR an equivalent amount of education and relevant experience.
  • Certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years prior management experience, leading an HR function
