Investment/Private Family Office Accountant/CPA

Our client, an Ann Arbor area private family with corporate and personal holdings, seeks an exceptional accountant and financial strategist for their personal and family accounting management.

Investment Accountant/Family Office Financial Manager

(part-time or full-time role available)

This executive role will provide senior-level financial oversight and support to all personal financial matters on behalf of the family. Areas of responsibility will include the creation and implementation of a set of standard financial practices for all personal and family financial matters; partnering with tax consultants, to develop family financial and tax planning strategies, including for trusts, life insurance programs, estate plans and business holdings; managing the assets of the various family trusts, reviewing trust contents relative to tax laws; reviewing and analyzing, as needed, all new investment opportunities; providing analysis as needed for stock portfolios and other assets (venture capital, hedge funds, private equity, commodities, oil and gas, etc., and reviewing business investments and providing financial management).

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted adviser for multiple family generations.

Qualifications include:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Master's degree preferred

• Certified Public Accountant status is desirable

• A minimum of seven to ten years in progressively responsible financial roles and/or training
• Experience creating financial reporting and accounting systems for various investments

• Knowledge of accounting applications and management information reporting tools

• Exceptional communication skills, entrepreneurship and flexibility
