This key role is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and managing the global Merchant Services Program which consists of Avfuel's electronic payment platforms, card processing systems, project management, vendor and customer relations and financial systems analysis. This role will serve as a key leader in building and maintaining secure and efficient payment channels.

Responsibilities include:
  • In conjunction with the Vice President, oversees the strategic planning, development, and implementation of existing and new programs.
  • Serves as the departmental expert in administering the operation of the Merchant Services Program.
  • Maintain relationships with 3rd party processing software vendors.
  • Maintain technical knowledge of Avfuel processing systems and serve as the lead for enhancements from design to testing and implementation.
  • Delivers payment security (PCI) compliance project management and planning in combination with external consultants, and other staff to complete internal and external scans, remediation, provide training to FBOs, and monitor contractual performance for payment security vendors.
  • Develops and recommends new, and revisions to, existing policies and procedures such as standard operating procedures and internal guidelines.
  • Manages and creates new merchant accounts, counseling users on the features and benefits of various merchant services products, including payment gateway (i.e. web portals, point of sale systems, interactive voice response, and electronic payment technology), as well as merchant processing requirements, costs, and procedures.
  • Provides technical support for the resolution of merchant services processing, hardware, software, and network issues. Troubleshoots issues related to internal/external merchant services file transmissions.
  • Collects, interprets, and analyzes data. Prepares reports containing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Oversee demonstration efforts to prospective new users.
  • Oversee on-going training user training programs.
  • Evaluates and continuously improve the delivery of program services.


Qualifications include:
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance or other related field a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in a card processing /merchant service operations, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong understanding of technology and web browser interfaces
  • Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills
  • Proven problem solving and sound judgment skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy
  • Results-driven approach to all assignments
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
