Patient Service Representatives (PSR) work collaboratively with the dental team to make quality patient care a priority. As a PSR, you will be responsible for the scheduling of patient appointments, collections of patient payments, and the overall front office administration of the office. As the first point of contact for our dental offices, this highly visible position requires exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills to provide and role model superior customer service to our patients and staff.

The primary functions of a Patient Service Representative include:

-Greet and assist patients in person and via the telephone
-Update patient charts and patient accounts
-Schedule patient appointments maximizing provider's schedule
-Collect and record payments from patients
-Explain financial obligations and payment options
-Process new patient paperwork
-Create new patient accounts
-Review patient insurance eligibility
-Establish and maintain patient call list
-Create and send correspondence/letters
-Review schedules on a daily basis
-Confirm patient appointments

To be successful in the Patient Service Representative role, you must have:

-Previous customer service experience
-Basic math and computer skills
-General office equipment knowledge
-Exceptional customer service skills
-Excellent oral and written communication skills
-Reliability and dependability
-Ability to maintain confidentiality
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Ability to thrive in a team based environment
-Ability to be detail oriented
-Excellent organizational skills
-Ability to display a high degree of professionalism

Job Type:

  • Full-time 40 hours
  • Monday through Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.
  • No holidays, no weekends.

Pay:

  • $15.50 per hour to start, $16.00 after a successful 90 day introductory period
