Our practice includes 22 physicians board-certified in gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, 8 Advanced Practice Providers, and an outstanding staff of clinical and administrative personnel.

Huron Gastro currently has a newly created opportunity for a Practice Administrator. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this position will be responsible for the daily operations of the office, ensuring efficient and smooth workflow.

Qualifications

  • Strong background in medical office management, preferably in an ambulatory healthcare setting
  • A degree in Healthcare Administration preferred
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years in a supervisory role
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation requirements
  • Experience in managing office staff and overseeing day-to-day operations
  • Proficiency in utilizing practice management software for scheduling, billing, and recordkeeping
  • Familiarity with utilization management processes and strategies for optimizing resource allocation

Responsibilities Include

  • Oversee the daily operations of the medical office, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow
  • Manage and supervise office staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations
  • Develop and implement office policies and procedures to maintain compliance with industry regulations
  • Coordinate patient scheduling, including appointments, surgeries, and follow-up visits
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, ensuring confidentiality and security
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize patient care and outcomes
  • Monitor and manage utilization management processes to ensure appropriate resource allocation
  • Implement and maintain managed care contracts and relationships with insurance providers
  • Ensure internal processes to achieve financial management standards
  • Assist the Chief Operating Officer with projects as assigned
