Supply Side Procurement Analyst

Our client is a privately-held, global commodities supplier, with a 50-year history of success, profitability and proven leadership.  This preeminent organization seeks a proven procurement professional to provide data collection, analysis and reporting of product procurement and supply chain.

Supply Side Procurement Analyst

This role has responsibility for:

• Monitor market tools daily, to make optimal purchase decisions resulting in savings opportunities for our clients.
• Conduct tactical market and data analysis
• Negotiate procurement price and terms with multiple supply vendors
• Manage entire Request for Proposal process for multiple customers.
• Perform analysis on historical commodity purchasing patterns of existing and new clients; juxtaposing data with current market trends to support the final recommended client supply portfolio balancing cost savings and supply security.
• Demonstrate exceptional understanding of market moves that impact rack and spot markets by providing same day and next day loading guidance.

Requirements of the role include:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Logistics or a related field; Master's preferred
• A minimum of 2 years experience in procurement/supply/logistics field
• 2 years of commodities or energy industry expertise is preferred

• Financial acumen and experience in monitoring and managing cost and pricing strategies.
